This is a beautiful and hopeful book focusing on animal conservation and protection. The book is part of a series - Baby Animal Environmental Heroes - about baby animals and their survival. The back matter, including an author's note, provides photos of the real Molelo, as well as information about African elephant conservation.
The book itself features a heartwarming story about survival and friendship. The illustrations perfectly complement the text. Children and adults who read this book will want to get involved in helping to protect animals around the world.
